My Negative Chi

Ok. It is official. I have negative chi. My friend Rachel pointed it out and has ordered it gone (me too)! How do I get rid of it? What exactlly is this negative chi?

This is what I found. BTW..I am heading out tomorrow for the nearest store to get me some size-buyer sea salts!

Banish Bad Chi

Shortly after putting the finishing touches on this blog entry/article, before publishing it I took a nice refreshing shower using a handful of sea salt as a scrub. Quite invigorating and cleansing. It gives me a renewed sense of the power of sea salt to cleanse and cure negative chi. If you're feeling skeptical about the Feng Shui cures described in this article, start small -- with a sea salt scrub. It's a common use of sea salt outside of its Feng Shui uses.

Sea salt is used in Feng Shui as well as other disciplines as a means of purifying the environment, the body, and objects. The sea salt draws negative energies (sha chi) from objects or the surrounding area leaving the objects or place ready for imprinting with more positive energy.

The use of sea salt in Feng Shui and various other rituals might seem a little superstitious but it is a common cure for negativity and stagnant chi. It's one of those types of cures that you either believe in or don't. While many other Feng Shui cures and enhancements seem like common sense or are easy to comprehend, you might have to take some of the sea salt cures on faith -- try it and see if you like it. - originally posted by Jacqueline,Texas, United States at http://fengshuiyourownway.blogspot.com

Up and Coming

Annie went on her 5th grade field trip yesterday.

I passed on my digital Canon P&S to her. I was VERY surprised to see some of the great pictures she got. The Capitol building is my favorite, she got a picture of our Governor, Sonny Perdue, the Atlanta Braves locker room (note the sweet jock strap in plain view, you think they would put stuff like that away before kids come through) and a self portrait (LOL). I think she will be posting the rest of her pictures with descriptions online shortly. So keep a look out for those!

Keep your eye out for the next up and coming Hartwell photographer!

Mother's Day

My kids never cease to amaze me!

They will allow me once a year to photograph them together...just not touching!!! Tristan says, "you always say please, just this once for Mommy, you always say that." But it worked I got Annie and Tristan together. They don't look to traumatized. Ok, Tristan just looks mad.

Aidan wanted none of that action...he just wanted to swing. Weeeeeeee!!!

Oh Can-a-duh...

Duh...that was my response to Steve asking, "What do you think about moving to Calgary?"

K: Canada?
S: Know any other Calgary?
K: WTF???
K: Wow, think my blow dryer would work there?
S: That's all you got?
K: Well is the city clean? You know it has to be clean and not filthy like ATL.
S: I don't know. (Steve did find that is the #1 cleanest city in the world on some list).
K: Can we live downtown in a highrise...that would be sooo cool!
S: Probablly not. I don't know where we would keep the snow mobiles.
K: Snowmobiles? Do you think there is a Whole Foods or Trader Joes there?
S: Probablly not. You are going to have to find something else.
K: You did say Calgary is about 85 miles east of Banff? I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO GO THERE!!!
S: I will take that as an OK.

As most of you know Steve's work takes him all over. Most places I would never even care to visit. If all works out Steve will be taking a position working in Calgary and Fort McMurry, Alberta, Canada for 2 years. The 12 hour travel each way to come home on the weekends wasn't in the cards. We see it as taking the family on a very extended vacation. Nothing is definate. I will keep you posted!

And Another Thing

Ya'll notice the time...

So I am still out of my mind here. Printing everything for tomorrow, charging batteries and running through my head "do I have everything covered". When this pops into my head..."the bells those damn bells, I must pitch that thing."

I have been driving for a month and a half with Annie's hotel door hanger of well wishes we made for cheer. Every time I hit a bump, turn or move something I hear them! I have thrown many conniptions (do you throw or have one?) "take that damn thing out of here or it is going into the trash!" Ya, it is still there. Not as bad when I helped assemble them! The storage bin full of bells, enough bells to stud every Santa from here to Timbuktu! Oh ya, I have a picture for that...the star on the floor board of my car, no doubt covered in some sort of 1-year old's snack...and the damn thing still jingles!

Our team mom Donna, gotta love her, got the rest of us moms on the bandwagon of making these evil things for the girls. Cute. They sounded lovely on our hotel room door jingling at 1:00AM as they were signed by other teams girls with words they had no business writing! LOL!!! Where do girls learn such phrases!

Here is the picture of the evil star...and this is Donna...master mind of the evil star! Donna is being Donna, always fun!

I am not sure if Steve knows I am still awake. Hmmm? My new motto..."I don’t know what is worse, not sleeping or being interrogated about not sleeping." I am very certain I will have some esplaining to do tomorrow...

7:30AM Saturday
S: so what time did you get to bed?
K: uhh...late.
S: so are you going to get the baby? I have class.
K: can't you get him you are up.
S: well you would be up if you hadn't stayed up all night partying.
K: (thinking) well it wasn't like I was partying...I was all by myself. uhhh...ok. You know I was getting things together for tomorrow. I was busy.

A New Favorite

You know I take so many pictures of the kids. Then I take some other pictures here and there of "things". What I overlook when I do this and don't check daily are some sweet pictures like this one. All that is missing is Tristan. Could you just see him in the hat?

May...

Well it is the first of May. I have been working on a photo scavenger hunt for a photo group I belong to.

Annie has been home the last two days with strep throat...again!!! Second time this year. Wonder if the tonsils need to come out?

Tristan cut his hair...all off! He is having second thoughts about playing football. This is his first year and first time with school sports. We are trying to motivate him to keep on going and not give up.

Aidan still won't walk. Walks around the furniture but isn't too motivated to "fly solo". Fine with me! Although he loves to open and close the doors and drawers. He has learned not to get his fingers in the way. We use shipping tape to keep them closed but he has learned to pick and peel it off!

I am getting ready to photograph an event on Saturday for the Dahlonega Holly Theatre's 9th Annual Gala. It looks to be a great event with a live swing band!

Cheer practice begins again on Sunday...bittersweet as the gym cut two coaches. Stacey was one. She was one of Annie's coaches last year and not only is Annie crushed but the rest of the girls are also and they are just so confused and hurt. Stacey is a mentor to the girls and a great friend to the rest of us. We will miss her soooo much! Although I am quite certain she will always be in the loop with us all!
